To fully enrol as a Cheshire Guitar School Student, you need to:

– Fill out the form located at the bottom of the page (studio policy agreement, etc.)
Cheshire Guitar School Studio Policy
Please review our Studio Lesson Policy over the next few pages for all the terms and conditions of our lesson program.
Once we have your signed Student Lesson Policy Agreement we will proceed with booking your first lesson.

TUITION AND PAYMENT
All lessons must be paid for either on the day or in advance
All lessons in a block must be used within 12 months (If someone has purchased a voucher for you, please check the expiry date on the voucher)
Invoices – Invoices must be paid before the first scheduled lesson in the block.
Late payment – Once an invoice becomes overdue, 3 automated reminders will periodically be sent. if the invoice remains unpaid 14 days after the due date, a £5 admin fee will be added to the invoice.
Please note that repeated late payment of invoices will result in the cessation of all future lessons
ATTENDANCE
Repeat slots – To keep your regular time slot, please avoid frequent changes. As we will be unable to keep the slot reserved. If the current time isn’t working, please contact Cheshire Guitar to discuss moving to a different slot or swapping to booking sessions individually (via the ad hoc booking calendar)
Too many cancellations and moves will result in the cessation of lessons. Any pre-paid, unused lessons will be fully refunded.
MISSED LESSON POLICY
Minimum 24 Hours notice required for lesson moves/cancellations or 100% of lesson fee will be due
All lessons missed without notice are chargeable (100% of lesson fee)
GROUP LESSON POLICY
Duo lessons are a fixed-rate booking. If one student cancels outside of the 24-hour notice period, the remaining student may still attend for a 1-to-1 session, but the full Duo fee remains payable to secure the slot. Alternatively, the lesson may be rescheduled by mutual agreement, subject to availability.
MEDIA RELEASE CONSENT
By participating in lessons or events at Cheshire Guitar School, you acknowledge that photo, video and audio recordings may be made for various purposes, including but not limited to quality control, performance review, student progress tracking, lesson content creation, and promotional material development.
You consent to Cheshire Guitar School using photographic and video recordings taken on our premises, during digital lessons (e.g., via Zoom and Skype), and at any workshops, concerts, or events we host. These recordings may be used for administrative, educational, and promotional purposes.
By enrolling with Cheshire Guitar School, you agree that audio, photo and video recording may occur at any time and grant your permission to be recorded. If you wish to revoke this consent, you may do so at any time by contacting us directly via email.
We prioritize student privacy; full names or sensitive personal information will never be published alongside media content without explicit further consent
LOAN INSTRUMENTS
Free loan instruments are available for home practice to help new students get started. A refundable cash deposit is required, and the instrument remains the property of the school at all times. Any damage beyond normal wear and tear may be deducted from the deposit.
Loan & Hire Periods:

Initial 8 Weeks: Free of charge.

Extended Hire: If you require the instrument for longer than eight weeks, it may be available to hire at a rate of £15 per calendar month (subject to availability).
Maintenance: If any strings break during the loan or hire period, it is the student’s responsibility to purchase replacements. I am more than happy to advise on the correct gauge/brand and can fit them for you during our next scheduled lesson.
CHANGES TO LESSON POLICY
Cheshire Guitar School reserves the right to make changes and revisions to the lesson policy at any time. Changes take effect 30 days after an updated lesson policy has been submitted to the student body via email. It is the student and parent/guardians’ responsibility to keep up to date with the lesson policy.
EMERGENCY ONLINE TRANSITION
In the event that face-to-face lessons are not possible due to illness, extreme weather, or studio unavailability, lessons will be conducted online via [Google Meet/Zoom]. This ensures continuity of learning and prevents missed sessions.
