Hi I’m Nick Studholme and welcome to the Cheshire Guitar School website. I am a guitar tutor based in Winsford, Cheshire.
I teach all styles of electric and acoustic guitar. I also teach bass. All lessons are customised for your specific needs and take place in a relaxed, friendly environment.
Passion
I love my role as a guitar tutor and I’m determined to help you get the best results from your practice. I have played in a wide variety of bands over the years, thus I have extensive gigging and studio recording experience.
Professionalism
I have been teaching for over 25 years throughout many schools, in partnership with the organisation Music for Life, the private primary school – The Firs and in the private music school – Tafelmusik. I
am CRB/DBS checked.
Patience
I help beginning and frustrated guitarists achieve their goals and make fast progress. My aim is to keep frustration to a minimum and make the process as enjoyable as possible. Happy guitarists play the guitar more, so improvement tends to be faster.
Experience
I have extensive experience teaching students of all levels, styles and ages in a private capacity and throughout many schools.

Never Played Guitar Before?
Nick is a registered Rockschool tutor and his students currently have a 100% pass rate with at least a merit in the Rockschool guitar and bass grade exams. The higher rockschool grades are also an excellent way to pick up UCAS points.
